Application Guidelines

Recommended Processing Temperature: 5°C to 40°C (Possible from –10°C)
Application: Gerband 586 is used indoors for the airtight bonding and sealing of penetrations and overlaps of wind and vapor barriers according to BS 9250.
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be stable, dry, free of grease and dust, and may not contain adhesive-repellent coating.
Recommended Surfaces: Smooth or slightly rough PE webs, non-waxed kraft paper, aluminum sheeting, PP fleece, and wooden sheathing.
MDF Board Bonding: For MDF boards, precondition surfaces with Gerband Primer 6300.
