The floor in any building is an area of considerable downward heat loss when not properly insulated. Xtratherm has developed Hyfloor (T&G) engineered tongue and grooved floor insulation as the answer to achieve lower U-values in a practical and robust manner.
Why choose Xtratherm Hyfloor Tongue & Groove Insulation?
- The XT/HYF (T&G) tongue and groove jointing offers a practical on-site solution that results in a more robust continuous layer of insulation, minimising the threat of thermal bridging.
- It is lightweight and suitable for use with underfloor heating. Thanks to its thickness to performance ratio, XT/HYF (T&G) allows for reduced insulation thickness. The product should be laid staggered in a break bonded pattern and fitted tightly at edges and around any service penetrations.
- XT/HYF (T&G) provides the most efficient means of floor insulation. It has the strength and thermal properties required to reach the high-performance U-Values asked for in the Building Regulations.
- Good detailing at the wall/floor junction is essential to reduce thermal bridging. By placing an upstand of Xtratherm Perimeter strip (XT/STR) insulation 25mm thick around the external and internal wall/floor junctions, a robust detail is created.
Hyfloor (T&G) has a superior thickness to performance ratio, allowing the lower targets required under Building Regulations to be achieved with minimum thickness.

Delivery Nationwide T&C's
Brooks offer free delivery on online sales when you spend €250 or more
We deliver small parcels nationwide. For larger items that require truck delivery, we operate delivery zones. Please enter your Eircode to check if your area is covered.
If you are outside the delivery zones listed on our website, email [email protected] for a delivery quote, please note we deliver within the Republic of Ireland only.
Orders under €250 carry a delivery charge of €50, and smaller items have a €12 charge. These costs will be shown during the checkout process.
Brooks provide a kerb side delivery service. Your order will be placed in the nearest safe location, and some trucks can use a crane where it is safe to do so.
Most orders are dispatched within two to four working days. Specialty items or products ordered in may take a little longer. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Orders placed at the weekend will be processed from the next working day.
We aim to deliver using Brooks vehicles wherever possible, although some deliveries may be made by courier or haulage company.

Brooks is happy to refund or exchange any full priced item within 28 days of your order date, excluding delivery charges, in line with distance selling regulations.
All items must be returned unopened and in resalable condition.
Product specific returns information
- Flooring can be returned within 28 days if the boxes are unopened. A 20 per cent restocking charge applies.
- Doors can be returned within 28 days if they are unopened. A 20 per cent restocking charge applies.
- Velux products can be returned if the box is unopened. A 25 per cent restocking charge applies.
- Non stocked items carry a 15 per cent restocking charge.
- Bagged powders cannot be returned as storage conditions cannot be verified.
A full refund or exchange can only be guaranteed if the item is returned within the time frames stated above. Items received after the allowed period will be returned to the original delivery address.
Returning your item
The cost of returning an item is your responsibility unless the product is faulty or an incorrect item was supplied. In these cases, postage costs will be refunded up to the value of the original delivery charge.
Items should be returned using an insured and traceable service, and you should keep note of any tracking numbers. We are not responsible for damage caused during transit, so please ensure items are securely packaged.

Please allow up to ten working days after we receive the goods for your refund to be processed.
The return delivery address can be found on your delivery docket.
Delivery rates vary depending on product type and location within the Republic of Ireland.
Please note that any damages must be reported within 24 hours of receiving your order.
