A Highly versatile cement based wall & floor grout containing anti mould technology;
Pro-line Grout is flexible and is suitable for use on substrates with limited movement
such as under floor heating and timber substrates as well as more common
substrates such as concrete. Pro-line Grout is ideal for grouting joints between
2mm & 15mm.
Pro-line Grout as very low permeability and is therefore suitable for areas subject to
prolonged or permanent water immersion such as wet rooms, showers & swimming
pools. It also contains special additives to increase water repellence resulting in a
bead effect. Pro-line Grout dries to a durable, shrink resistant, mould resistant and
water resistant finish that is suitable for internal and external use.
Pro-line Grout is suitable for grouting ceramic, porcelain, mosaic, glass, quarry,
terracotta and natural stone tiles.
Note:
Certain types of natural stone and porous tiles are prone to scratching or surface
discolouration with the use of fine grouts. We strongly advise the testing of the grout
on a spare tile before grouting the tiled area. Where necessary, apply a protective
treatment to the surface to ensure the grout does not penetrate the porous surface
of the tiles.
If using an acid based treatment to clean the tiled and grouted area we recommend
trying a test area first. Acid based products can cause discolouration to the grout.
Preperation
Before grouting the tile joint, ensure the tile adhesive has set & dried, and that the
tiles are firmly bonded to the substrate. Under normal circumstances, standard set
adhesive should be left for 24 hours and rapid set adhesive 3 hours before grouting
commences. Ensure the tile joints are clean, free of dust and other contaminants.
Excess adhesive should be removed from the joints while still fresh.
Mix Preperation
It is recommended to use a low speed mechanical mixer. Gradually add the Pro-line
Grout to clean water in a clean mixing container and mix thoroughly until a smooth,
creamy, consistent mortar is achieved. After mixing allow to stand for 2-3 minutes and
briefly re-stir the mixture approximate guide for powder to water ratio, 1kg of powder
requires between 300ml and 350ml of water.
Once mixed the grout remains workable for approximately 30 minutes at 20°C; however
this time will be extended by lower temperatures and reduced by higher temperatures.
Do not add water after initial mixing as this will weaken the mix and could lead to
cracking. It may also cause discolouration to the grout.
Application Method
Using a rubber float work the mixed grout thoroughly into the joints ensuring they
are completely filled. Excess grout should be removed as work proceeds by moving
the rubber float diagonally across the tiles to prevent removal of grout within the
joints.
Manufacture Code
PROG006
WARNING:
Residue left on the surface of the tile must be removed by wiping off with a damp
cloth or sponge approximately 45-60 minutes after application. Any dry film can be
removed by polishing off with a clean, dry cloth once the grout has hardened into
joint.
All material used during application such as tools and cloths must be clean and free
of contaminants likely to cause staining to the grout. Clean tools immediately after
use with clean water.
EXTERNAL AREAS:
Ensure the tile adhesive is completely set before grouting begins. Follow the
application instructions above. Do not apply when rain is imminent and once
grouting complete, protect the grouted area from rain/wet conditions for 24 hours.
READY FOR USE:
Pro-line Grout will reach final set after 24 hours at 20°C and may be put into service.
Wet areas such as showers, wet rooms and swimming pools must be left 3 days
before coming into contact with water.
